Here is a quick bbq chicken I made for dinner this morning.  I had the ketchup and bbq sauce leftover, stock in the fridge and frozen chicken.   

  • 1/4 cup ketchup {I made this ketchup with tomato paste and pinapple juice with salt and pepper}
  • bbq sauce.  {I had a half bottle to use up}
  • a cup of stock.
  • 6 frozen chicken thighs.
  • pour all four ingredients into a big zip lock.
  • add some salt and cracked pepper. 
  • put in fridge for four hours, until chicken is thawed.  it can sit overnight.
  • grill 'em up or bake 'em.   3 minutes per side on a hot grill.  15 minutes in a 400° oven


Please understand that I cook with intuition, which means I wing it.  So pay attention to what you are doing so that you learn what happens when you cook.  My recipes are loose and vague on purpose.  They are open to interpretation and taste.  After all you are cooking for yourself.  What works for you?  How can you make it the way you want it to taste?    Click here for a pdf version of this recipe.
